As a child, I would often write about my feelings and thoughts in journals, as well as draw and paint pictures. And this continued as I grew into adulthood, when songs also began to flow through me. At first, the creativity that I enjoyed was just for myself. It was natural and fun. But then one day I was diagnosed with cancer and went through months of aggressive treatment. When I finally pulled through, I realized I was given a second chance at life and wondered how best I could use the rest of my life to help others. So I allowed myself to explore my various interests by taking art and writing classes. Then one day my art teacher took a look at some of my personal paintings and gave me my first exhibit. And ever since, I have been exhibiting, as well as publishing my books and CDs, as a way to give back to the world, to inspire and uplift others, hoping that, in some small way, my works will touch lives and bring greater joy, happiness, and peace.
